Book Reccomendation

Hi,
I am a developer that is new to MS SQL Server. Any reccomendations for
books? Looking for a book that has a good overall explaination on MS SQL
Server?

Thank you for using the newsgroup!
I agree that Kalen's 'Inside SQL Server 2000' is a very good reference and
I also look for some information in that quite offen. I don't have the book
'Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Unleashed', but I check the content of it in
Amazon and it covered most parts of how to using the SQL Server 2000 and
most of the conceptions related. As for a suitable book to master the SQL
Server 2000, I do think that it is related to not only the content of the
book, but also the reader of the book. That is the level of the reader's
knowledge, what the method to deliver the conceptions of SQL Server, ect.
What I would recommend would be 'Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Administrator's
Companion' by Microsoft Press and 'Inside SQL Server 2000' by Kalen Delaney.
